The Department of Health & Kinesiology at Purdue University seeks applicants for an academic-year (9-month) tenure-track faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor) in Exercise Physiology to begin Fall 2022. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to and expand our nationally recognized program through grantsmanship, scholarly publications, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, advising graduate students, and serving on departmental, college, and university committees.

Professional collaborative opportunities and pilot funding also exist within the NIH-supported Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (www.indianactsi.org); the A.H. Ismail Center for Health, Exercise, and Nutrition (http://www.purdue.edu/hhs/hk/ismail/); Discovery Park (http://www.purdue.edu/discoverypark/), the Cooperative Extension Programs of Health and Human Sciences (http://www.purdue.edu/hhs/extension/); and over 100 Centers at Purdue (http://www.purdue.edu/research/centers-institutes-cores/list.php).

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Health & Kinesiology or a related field, have appropriate (2+ years) postdoctoral experience.  An independent line of research with potential for attracting extramural funding is expected at the assistant level, and evidence of extramural funding is expected at the associate level.

The Department of Health & Kinesiology is one of nine units in the College of Health & Human Sciences and is home to over 550 undergraduate students and graduate students. There are ample opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations within the department and the College.
