Responsibilities
Claflin University invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching foundational psychology courses, research methods and statistics, and advanced program courses within the psychology curriculum. There are opportunities to teach online as well. A commitment to teaching excellence and student advising is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to maintain an ongoing program of research and publication, the potential to secure external grant funding to support that research, and the willingness to contribute substantially to the departments teaching mission at the undergraduate and anticipated graduate level. Additionally, as one of the fastest-growing and most rapidly evolving majors on campus, the Psychology program is seeking candidates who can bring unique skills to foster the growth. Candidates with expertise in and experience with interdisciplinary work, certificate programs, innovative research-related technology, and/or community outreach are especially invited to apply.
Qualifications
A PhD is preferred (ABD considered). A successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching. All specializations will be considered. Candidates with additional credentials are especially invited to apply.
SALARY: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
