Internal Position Title
Adjunct Faculty, English as a Second Language (ESL)
Adult Education and ESL
Teach English as a Second Language classes in the following
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics,
Education, or related field with experience teaching English
language to adults.
Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of
diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate
sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic,
socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college
students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities;
establish and maintain effective working relationships with those
contacted in the course of work.
1. Master’s degree in TESOL or Linguistics with TESOL
specialization or closely related field with at least twelve credit
hours in TESOL .
2. Experience teaching ESL to adult learners.
3. Experience teaching ESL to adult immigrant and/or resident

Summary of Essential Functions
To instruct and engage adult learners using a communicative
