About the Opportunity

The Roux Institute of Northeastern University is a world-class education research institute that forms partnerships with local businesses and organizations. We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to assist with several studies focused on the psychiatric and behavioral health of children with autism. We seek to understand comorbidities such as sleep problems. The individuals hired for these positions will be responsible for participant recruitment, obtaining written informed consent, collecting data, creating and maintaining a project database, and data entry. The individual will work closely with the principal investigator at the Roux Institute. These positions are part-time at 20 hours/week each.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (earned or within 1 year of graduation) in a social science field; experience with children with autism; experience with databases. In addition, the individuals hired for these positions will be highly sensitive, patient, and comfortable working with minimally verbal children and children with intellectual disabilities. Candidates must have their own transportation, must be willing to travel to research participant's homes in/around Southern and Central Maine, and must be willing and able to work at least a few evenings and weekends per month.
