Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence principles
- Experience with complex data environments and warehouses, common analytic tasks and methods, and reporting and analysis tools. Proficiency in at least one statistical or analytic tool, such as Excel, R, Stata, or Oracle Analytics.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, cross-functional project management experience, and ability to act as a trusted advisor
- Excellent professional judgment and ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
- Work will require sitting and near vision for computer use for extended periods of time.
- May require work on nights/weekends during peak periods and occasional travel.
- Work is typically performed in an office setting, but may be hybrid, as directed by FAS.
- This position will be based in Cambridge, MA. Any remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (such as CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, NJ, RI, and VT).
- Design, build, and run reports and analyses using a variety of tools (query and database) to inform and support recruitment investments and planning. Reporting to the Director of Research, identify and define data needs and timeline for analyses in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Recruitment and others.
- Research, develop and analyze metrics for recruitment projects and programs.
- Write programs to analyze data in a complex data environment and advance projects through project management and consultative services.
- Provide expertise and guidance on recruitment-related resources, tools, and data sources; serve as point person for admissions officers on use and best practices for tools and data.
- Contribute to the development of recruitment-related reporting in the data warehouse, making recommendations for data for inclusion.
- Collaborate with technical staff to standardize and systemize routine reports, dashboards, and metrics.
- Respond to data inquiries related to recruitment and yield activities.
- Ensure compliance with university admissions policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and policies, as it relates to prospective student data.
