The School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga ( UTC) seeks a full time, 12-month faculty member for a nontenure-track, clinical faculty position. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model and Boyer’s Model of scholarship.
Position: Clinical Assistant Professor, Nontenure Track
Effective Date: July 1, 2023
Responsibilities:
· Teaching/instruction using a variety of methodologies including clinical education.
· Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate with curriculum development and revisions when needed.
· Advise students in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
· Engage in scholarship activities appropriate for rank.
· Participate in the School of Nursing, College, and University service and/or professional service appropriate for rank.
Qualifications:
· Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in TN or a compact state
· Recent clinical experience working with clients in acute care settings, medical-surgical nursing at all levels preferred
· Experience teaching in an academic environment in clinical instruction preferred
· Master's degree in nursing. Doctoral preparation in nursing or related field preferred
· Will consider a Bachelor of Science in Nursing if the candidate is currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program and has completed 18 hours of course work
· Experience in instruction using simulation preferred
