The School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga ( UTC) seeks a full time, 12-month faculty member for a tenure-track position. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model and Boyer’s Model of scholarship.

Position: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

Effective Date: July 1, 2023

This position is a 12-month tenure earning position. The person must be doctorly prepared in Nursing or a related field.

Responsibilities:

· Teach, advise, and chair doctoral projects in the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nurse Anesthesia Lifespan concentration in the SON graduate program.

· Engage in scholarship activities.

· Participate in service to the School of Nursing, the University and/or profession.

· Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate in curriculum development and revision as needed.

Qualifications

· Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field required. If in a doctoral program, degree conferral must be no later than December 31, 2023

· Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse required

· Preparation as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

· A minimum of two years’ experience as a practicing CRNA

· Experience teaching in an academic environment using both in class and online methodologies is strongly preferred
