The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Transfer Academic Evaluator for the Daytona Beach campus. Under the guidance of the Associate Registrar, the EAB Transfer Portal Evaluator will maintain effective and efficient operations in area of responsibility and provide course equivalency determinations and academic degree information to prospective students with a goal of attracting future transfer students to ERAU’s Daytona Beach campus. The Transfer Academic Evaluator evaluates progress toward degree, educates pre-applicant students on academic programs, policies and procedures, and supports excellence in student services at every opportunity.

The Transfer Academic Evaluator will utilize technical skills and partner with Office of the Registrar staff to maintain accurate information in the EAB Transfer Portal and Student Information System tables. This position will create and maintain residential transfer course equivalencies in support of pre-applicant and current student populations, recommend ways to improve processing and streamline functionality, and produce ad hoc reports as needed.

The Transfer Academic Evaluator serves as primary point of contact for their assigned area of responsibility and responds promptly to student inquiries; therefore utilizes excellent communication skills. This position serves as a vital link to the Admissions office as they works closely with the Transfer Advisor to respond to the academic needs of this unique student population. This position is responsible for developing employee training manuals for the EAB Transfer Portal solution, improving business processes, and representing the Office of the Registrar at collaborative meetings on the Daytona Beach campus.

This is not a remote eligible position.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, organizational management, communication, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Initiative and excellent organizational skills; ability to work within a team or independently; ability to organize and prioritize work to be done.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and experience with e-mail/internet, Microsoft applications and imaging systems.
  • General knowledge of accepted practices at other institutions; detailed knowledge of ERAU academic policies, procedures, standards and curricula.
  • Familiarity with non-traditional educational sources of college level advanced standing credit, such as the military guide from the American Council on Education and national exams such as CLEP and DANTES.
  • Experience in advising or student interaction; ability to troubleshoot student issues.
  • Familiar with the basic operations of the Office of Records and Registration and best practices in the industry.
  • May be required to work weekend/evening hours or during peak periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with various software solutions and/or with implementation of software solutions desired.
  • Previous experience with SIS Campus Solutions desired.
