Position Announcement
Utah Valley Univeristy is currently taking applications for a Concurrent Enroll/Outreach Coordinator! Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships, the Coordinator of Events/Outreach plans, implements, and assesses effectiveness of on-and off-campus student-focused events. Depending on the type of event, this position may be required to collaborate with UVU departments or high school staff. The Coordinator of Events/Outreach is also a member of the office's marketing team. As a member of this team, and in collaboration with the director and creative designer, this position creates and provides marketing materials for various student-focused events.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • (40%) Plans, implements, and assesses effectiveness of on-campus student-focused events such as: The CE Annual Art Show, student symposiums, and any other events that bring concurrent enrollment students to campus. Sometimes these events include collaboration with both Student and Academic Affairs departments.
  • (40%) Plans, implements, and assesses effectiveness of off-campus student-focused events such as: Wolverine Wednesdays, tabling events, Get the Scoop, presentations, and any other high school-sponsored events geared toward current and potential concurrent enrollment students. Sometimes these events include collaboration with one or multiple high school partners. Supports CE advisors with outreach events.
  • (20%) Serves as a general member of the marketing team. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships and the department's creative designer, this position creates and provides marketing materials for various student-focused events.


Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in event support preferred College degree/certificate preferred

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the Concurrent Enrollment program
  • Knowledge of college admissions and registration processes
  • Knowledge of college recruitment
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution
  • Knowledge and experience building and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Skills in navigation of Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams)
  • Skills in public speaking
  • Skills in tracking, assessing, and reporting events and outreach data -
  • Skills in being highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Skills in execution of events
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused organization
