Job Summary/Basic Function
Essential Job Functions:
- Serves as a member of the Admissions Team managing a recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment objectives for the University
- Supervises the training process for the student ambassadors, who serve as tour guides for the University
- Plans college day program activities inclusive of community college/high school visitations and private/public programs
- Plans and implements the recruitment events
- Trains and coordinates staff and student volunteers for recruitment programs and events
- Develops and provides training for alumni volunteers assisting in the national recruitment effort
- Schedules and initiates extensive visitation programs for groups and families
- Provides admissions presentations to visitors during campus daily tours and at on-campus and off- campus events
- Reviews, authenticates, and makes official admissions decisions on behalf of the University
- Conducts research on assigned territories and performs analysis of admissions eligibility
- Implements recruitment strategies as outlined by the University Recruitment team in the assigned territory; including high school and community college visits
- Determines the student type and process applicable to each individual circumstance
- Advises prospective students, applicants and their families concerning admissions policies and requirements while accentuating the positive aspects of the University’s academic programs and resources
- Supervises student volunteers and conducts trainings
- Assists in developing marketing materials for the programs and recruitment
- Interprets policies and procedural requirements of the Office and Admissions Recruitment
- In the absence of the Director of Admissions, manages the Office of Admissions and Recruitment and supervises Admissions staff, as requested by the Chief Enrollment Management Officer
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred.
- Five or more years of direct admissions experience in higher education required; additional experience working with the transfer, international and nontraditional population is a plus
- Demonstrated sales, public relations, marketing, and organizational skills, problem solving, communication and counseling skills
- Must be able to travel extensively both in state and out of state, evenings and weekend work is required
- Jenzabar experience is a plus
- At least one-two years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience evaluating transcripts and applications and making admissions decisions
- Demonstrated knowledge of the admissions and enrollment process
