Summary of Job Duties:Assist Head and Assistant Coaches during camp, provides a welcoming and positive presence to all campers and staff while giving a perspective from the student athlete experience to their training. The position reports to the University’s head coach of the sport specific camp.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include the following: Must have knowledge of collegiate sport programs and sport-specific skills and abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide campers training with collegiate student athlete perspective.
• Lead and demonstrates skills, drills, sessions, and circuits.
• Assist with the supervision of campers.
• Assist in camp set up.
• Coach assigned station/skill.
• Promote safety at all times.
• Officiate sport-specific play.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

• Demonstrate a willingness to be a team player and have a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate a willingness and ability to provide a high standard of elite sports performance demonstration and expertise.
• Ability to arrive at work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
• Must maintain a professional demeanor as a representative of the University and Athletics.

Additional Information:

Working Relationships: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment while working closely with staff, students, and campers.

Special Job Dimensions: Will be required to attend orientation and work the entire camp, unless excused in advance by Head Coach.
