Position Summary

The Fine Arts Department at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut invites applications for a tenure track professorship in Art History. We seek mid-career candidates at the advanced assistant or associate level with an established record of teaching and scholarship in art and/or architectural history whose work focuses on global artistic and cultural exchange, contributing to the College’s ongoing efforts to diversify its curriculum. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in art or architectural history with a non-European focus in fields such as, but not limited to, transatlantic or transpacific artistic economies and exchange, the Global South, Latinx and/or Latin America, Global Islam, Africa and/or the African Diaspora, or globally-based Asian art.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in art or architectural history with a non-European focus in fields such as, but not limited to, transatlantic or transpacific artistic economies and exchange, the Global South, Latinx and/or Latin America, Global Islam, Africa and/or the African Diaspora, or globally-based Asian art.

Compensation

Competitive salary and benefits, plus start-up expense fund.
