Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. Kutztown University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) department is currently accepting applications for full-time temporary licensed professional counselors, social workers, and psychologists to provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services for the 2023-2024 academic year.
This non-teaching position requires a counseling generalist who will provide short-term, in-person individual and group counseling and crisis intervention services to undergraduate and graduate students; referral services to external resources when a higher level of care is needed; outreach and consultation; and supervision of practicum students in a team-oriented setting.
- A master’s degree in counseling or a related field and appropriate PA licensure is required; doctoral degree preferred.
- Experience working with at least one of the following populations is desired:
- Individuals with marginalized identities, neurodiverse individuals, individuals with disordered eating patterns, military-affiliated/veteran students, and LGBTQ-identifying students.
A full-time position (with benefits) including 24 clinical hours as well as administrative duties scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:00am-7:30pm; availability until 7:30pm for appointments and crisis intervention services is required. No weekends, holidays or summer hours required. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on fulfillment of professional responsibilities, continuing scholarly growth, and service.
