POSITION: One or two full-time or part-time instructional academic staff positions are available in the Department of Mathematics beginning August 21, 2023. The official title is in the Lecturer title series, with some working titles being Visiting Assistant Professor.  This is a one or two semester appointment with salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A Master’s degree is required from a regionally accredited institution with preference in the areas of mathematics, statistics, physics, data science, or computer science. The Visiting Assistant Professor title requires a PhD from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated potential to be effective in teaching undergraduate mathematics courses.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusiveness in teaching.
  • Must be work-authorized in the United States.

DUTIES: A full time position involves teaching three sections of liberal education courses offered by the Department of Mathematics, such as Calculus 1 or Elementary Statistics, and one section of developmental mathematics.
