Position Title
Catering Bartender
Position Description
Rider University invites applications for experienced catering bartenders for on-campus university events. Responsibilities include proper table/bar set-up, fulfilling drink orders, table service for guests, performing alcohol inventories at the end of each event, and collecting cash payment when required. Each shift is a minimum of four hours and scheduled on an as needed basis. Candidates must be able to maintain a flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends.
Position Requirements
Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent along with 2+ years’ experience working as a catering bartender. Additional requirements include: TIPS certification; working knowledge and compliance of all food and beverage laws and regulations, including safe food/alcohol handling principles; excellent customer service and interpersonal communications skills; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision; and knowledge of drinks to be served.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school is preferred.
