The Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication ( WRTC ) Program, housed within Appalachian State University’s Department of English, invites applications for multiple renewable, non-tenure track teaching positions. These include:
  • 2 Lecturers in WRTC at the Appalachian State campus in Hickory, NC
Teaching load is 4/4. Additional summer teaching may be available but is not required.

Required qualifications:
  • MA in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Professional and Technical Writing;
  • a minimum of two years of teaching excellence in Rhetoric and Composition;
  • experience teaching multimodal writing.
Areas of Interest (No Minimum Level Required)
  • Experience teaching online and experience in composition theory/pedagogy, critical rhetorics, professional and technical writing, or digital rhetorics.
License/Certification Required
