Job Description
The visiting kinesiology lecturer will teach 15 credit hours per semester and provide review sessions for students. The selected candidate must have flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening classes and weekends as necessary. The use of various teaching formats such as Blackboard is a desired qualification. The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, community relations, and collegiality. The position requires office hours and physical presence on campus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
- Must hold a master's degree or higher in Kinesiology/Exercise Science or a closely related field that includes 18-semester graduate credits.
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses related to athletic training (e.g., care and prevention of athletic injuries, advanced care and prevention of athletic injuries, and therapeutic modality for athletic trainers) or exercise science (e.g., exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise prescription, and strength conditioning).
PERFERRED QUALIFICATION:
- Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.
- Athletic training license
- ACSM certified exercise physiologist
Other Information:
This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace for a minimum of four days a week.
