We welcome applications from a full range of candidates, including advanced doctoral candidates with an expected degree completion date before the time of hiring, established early-stage scholars, and individuals with leadership experience in higher education. Along with teaching and research aligned with addressing equity and diversity, we are seeking an individual whose scholarship and teaching addresses one or more of the key domains in the study of Teaching and Learning: equal educational opportunities for all students; teaching practices for enhancing students¿ learning and persistence; undergraduate and graduate education; program quality; and assessment of student learning and faculty teaching. We also seek an individual who is committed to the pursuit of excellence not only in their research and teaching, but also with respect to grant writing, graduate student advising, and service. Finally, we are looking for an individual who is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and social justice in higher education, thus contributing to the growth and quality of the Higher Education program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a trajectory toward successfully securing external funding for research.
