Position Summary:

Beginning August 2024, the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Rollins College seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. Required qualifications of the applicant include: (a) an earned doctorate in counselor education from a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited institution; (b) familiarity with CACREP accreditation; (c) a demonstrated record of infusing diversity, multicultural, advocacy, and social justice values, principles, and practices into teaching, scholarship, and service; and (d) licensed or license-eligible in Florida as a mental health counselor with a strong preference for those who are dually licensed or license-eligible as a marriage and family therapist (i.e., LMFT). Furthermore, this position is fully in-person (i.e., not remote/virtual).

Preferred qualifications also include: (a) minimum of three (3) years of successful, full-time teaching experience in counselor education; (b) clinical experience; (c) supervision experience; (d) demonstrated ability to conduct a successful program of scholarship and publication; and (e) familiarity with CACREP self-study process. Salary for this position will be determined by the applicant's qualifications and professional experience.

The successful candidate will teach a variety of graduate classes in a CACREP-accredited clinical mental health counseling program, with a specific focus on the clinical course series in family and relationship therapy (i.e., family counseling; couple and relationship counseling) and multicultural, social justice, and advocacy. Supervision of practicum and internship students each semester is expected. The faculty member in this position will also advise graduate students and will be expected to engage in service to the department, college, community, and profession (national level). A successful candidate will also be willing to maintain involvement with community partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:
