Mount Aloysius College, recognized by ModernThink as a “2022 Great College to Work For,” invites applications for a full-time, year-round, self-motivated and eager Digital Media Specialist (DMS) to join its award-winning Marketing & Communications Team. 

Current Opening

The Digital Media Specialist (DMS) is responsible for digital media production at the College including video production, social media management, live streaming, motion graphics, audio production, and other forms of digital media and content creation. The DMS also manages and ensures the appropriate utilization of the College’s “Digital Grotto” which is our dedicated video editing and production lab. The DMS will supervise student employees and work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications Team to advance the goals of the Department and the College.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Communications, or a related field required.  Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in video production and social media management required. Digital media portfolio is required. Video demo reel is also encouraged.

The successful incumbent will have excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Be well organized and have a demonstrated record of digital media skills. Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.) is preferred. Strong knowledge of lighting, composition, camera/lens combinations, theory, and techniques of modern digital photography and cinematography. Demonstrated skills and knowledge of social media networks and content strategy. Strong project management and project organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and to work independently and as a member of a team required.  Ability to work limited extended hours and weekends as needed.

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit eligible position. While some flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity for periodic remote days exists, this position is predominantly on campus in Cresson, PA and is not eligible for remote work.  This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
