Technology Support Staff l



Shenandoah University’s Office of Institutional Computing is accepting applications for a Technology Support Staff l . This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

1. Go above and beyond to serve others and be a positive influence
2. Work in a Help Desk team environment
3. Develop and oversee the student IT workforce. This includes developing training programs and workshops for students
4. Position hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm

Technology is always changing and job assignments may change, so be prepared to work on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor


Required Skills
  • General computer knowledge and skills. Mac and iOS experience is a plus. Training will be provided!
  • Work with other team members in the Help Desk area.
  • Work effectively with a broad range of customers who have varied levels of familiarity with technology.
  • Solve software and hardware-related problems.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that can change quickly.
  • Ability to create training systems and effectively train the student workforce.
  • Being reliable and on time, having good interpersonal skills, work ethic, body language, effort, energy, attitude, passion, being coachable, doing extra, and being prepared. Leading by example.
Required Experience
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service-related roles.
