The Position:

Unity Environmental University seeks enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop courses in support of our Sustainable Horticulture program. SMEs will work closely with the Dean of Sustainability Studies to develop courses in plant pathology.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a masters degree and ample professional experience related to plant pathology in addition to the following:

• Knowledge of major plant pathogen groups and related disease cycles.
• Understanding of how genetic and environmental factors impact disease progression.
• Knowledge of benefits and drawbacks of various strategies for controlling plant diseases.
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
• Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable.
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college.

The Location

Unity Environmental Universitys distance education curriculum is 100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely.
