The Position:

Unity Environmental University seeks enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop courses in support of our Sustainable Horticulture program. SMEs will work closely with the Dean of Sustainability Studies to develop courses in plant genetics.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a masters degree and ample professional experience related to plant genetics in addition to the following:

• Knowledge of traditional and biotechnology plant breeding methods.
• Knowledge of breeding methods for the enhancement of crops and landscape vegetation.
• Understanding of the biological, economic, and social factors that impact crop improvement programs in specific contexts.
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
• Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable.
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college.
• Become knowledgeable and articulate about Unity College Distance Education, its programs, market niche, strategies, and procedures.
• Understand how to work with non-traditional and adult learners.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Location

Unity Environmental Universitys distance education curriculum is 100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely.
