Job Summary

We are seeking a professional librarian to join Ritter Library to provide excellent service to Baldwin Wallace University students, faculty, and staff. The Digital Resources/Graduate Liaison librarian will maintain and improve public-facing and staff library systems to ensure reliable and efficient access to the university's information resources and services. The successful candidate will also assist campus community members with research identification, obtaining and evaluating information sources, and streamlining the research process. This position offers both independent projects and direct interaction with co-workers, students, and faculty. Professional librarians work on-site at the Baldwin Wallace University campus in Berea, Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer Springshare LibApps, EBSCO suite of products, and other electronic resource platforms.
  • Design, maintain, and refresh the library website hosted on Springshare CMS.
  • Maintain awareness of and engage with emerging technologies and systems trends.
  • Coordinate with campus leaders to understand how to implement new requirements for grant-funded data.
  • Cultivate relationships with graduate students and faculty. Develop activities to incorporate available resources into the graduate programs.
  • Serve as a liaison to select campus academic departments. Provide collection development consultation and research support/information literacy programming to both undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Provide support for library software platforms.
  • Participate in professional development, university, and consortia service activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences from an American Library Association accredited program
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with people at all levels of the University
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to work independently, research, and solve problems
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with best practices in web design and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with Institutional Repositories.
Compensation
