Job Description
The Department of Physical Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, invites applications for a teaching-focused, Visiting Non-Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position. The position is available for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 academic year and may be renewed, contingent on funding.
Qualifications
Applicants with experience teaching undergraduate introductory physics courses, both calculus and non-calculus based, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field, and be available to teach beginning in the Fall 2023 semester.
The Physical Sciences Department includes over 40 full-time faculty, offers BS programs in Engineering Physics, Space Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics, MS and PhD programs in Engineering Physics, and provides the campus’s introductory physics and chemistry courses.
All application materials must be submitted online at: careers.erau.edu . Complete submissions include a cover letter, full CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and contact information for at least three professional references. A recording of a teaching session will be required for submission during the selection process. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
