This is a Temporary and/or hourly intermittent appointment. No
probationary period. No permanent status is granted.
Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal
records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a
conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the
background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is
discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified
information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background
check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee
who was conditionally offered the position.

The salary range for this classification is: $2,254 - $3,381
The incumbent will provide technical support for University Theater
events and function as stage crew and set-up labor. Will oversee
the work of student assistants and others in a non-management
Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate possession of the

Knowledge of theater technology (lighting, sound and rigging
Knowledge of theater production procedures (load-in and
Knowledge of electrical and power tools safety procedures;
Basic English skills;
Ability to use hand tools and power tools for theatrical set
Ability to trouble-shoot sound and lighting equipment
Ability to follow and execute verbal instructions;
Ability to communicate and interact effectively; with the faculty
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working
Applicants must have completed undergraduate coursework in the
subject area(s) for which they will be providing assistance. High
School diploma or equivalent is also required.
One year of experience in the theater or related field. Outstanding
achievement in theater technology and production is
Ability to work in trainee capacity and demonstrate continued
progress or improvement in work habits and skills; follow simple
written and oral instructions; establish cooperative working
relationships with others; and read, write and perform tasks
appropriate for specific assigned job.
