Tutor, Nursing (Continuous Applicant Pool)

Health Sciences Education
Full or Part-time:
Provides Nursing, Pre-Nursing, and general tutoring services for
enrolled LMC students.
1. Provides tutoring for Nursing and Pre-Nursing students, and
2. Provides one-to-one, small group, and/or classroom instructional
assistance for LMC students.
3. Assists students with the use of media to supplement
4. Maintains appropriate and accurate records.
5. Visits classrooms to increase recognition of services and
consults with faculty and staff concerning students and student
6. Attends all training requested by the Manager or Coordinator of
Testing and Learning Assistance.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Under the direct supervision of the Tutoring Coordinators and the
indirect supervision of the Manager of Testing & Tutoring
Services, the Professional Tutor is responsible for assisting
students to improve academic performance.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or higher required.
Successful completion of the course tutored or higher-level course
with a grade B or higher. Relevant experience may be considered.
Interpersonal skills. Confidentiality. Must be able to commit for
full academic terms.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Official college transcripts required upon hire. Part time
employees are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College with a
few exceptions based on MSPERS retirement program. All others are
employed thru EDUStaff, LLC. If you are selected for one of these
