About the Opportunity

ABOUT NORTHEASTERN

Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-driven lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus.

Our locations—in Boston; Arlington, Charlotte, North Carolina; London; Portland, Maine; Oakland; San Francisco; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for flexible, student-centered learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research.

Northeastern's comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs— in a variety of on-campus and online formats—lead to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools. Among these, we offer more than 195 multi-discipline majors and degrees designed to prepare students for purposeful lives and careers.

The Bouve College of Health Sciences has over 200 faculty members, with approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 2,400 graduate students. It is the leading national model for education and research in the health, psychosocial and biomedical sciences and supports the University's mission of educating students for a life of fulfillment and accomplishment and creating and translating knowledge to meet global and societal needs.

The School of Nursing in the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University has developed a research-intensive/teaching/learning environment for students and faculty. Creating an environment where students thrive begins with the faculty. Faculty of the School of Nursing is a diverse and committed group of professionals who are highly qualified, nationally known, and characterized by a range of experiences in nursing practice, research, and education that reflect an extensive degree of excellence. The ultimate goal is to advance the School of Nursing's position to one of the nation's top research schools of nursing.

The wide range of graduate and undergraduate programs offered by the School of Nursing highlights the responsiveness of the School to the healthcare needs of individuals and communities in the state, nation, and globally. The School of Nursing is committed to co-creating an environment conducive to incubating innovative ideas and strategies aimed at creating a more dignified patient-family-centered healthcare system. As such, the School is seeking faculty with flexibility to teach across programs with opportunity to combine practice expertise with a desire and passion for educating the nurse of the future.
