Class Description

CCBC, a regional leader in online education, is looking for highly motivated individuals to assist with the expansion of online learning. The Coordinator of Online Student Experience will work with the Dean of Online Learning, as well as constituents from enrollment management and student support, to provide cohesion and oversight to the recruitment and onboarding of online students.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Education, Student Development, Public Policy or related field and Master’s degree preferred. Three (3) years of full-time experience working in student services or enrollment services required, preferably in a community college. Knowledge of general transfer processes, procedures and requirements required. Experience with online education and knowledge of case management systems preferred.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Use cognitive skills to solve problems, develop, plan and implement short and long-range goals, and organize work or assigned projects.
  2. Disseminate information on CCBC policies, services and procedures to faculty, parents and students etc; specifically maintain a working knowledge of FERPA, COMAR and MHEC regulations
  3. Establish processes for systematic tracking of student academic progress for CCBC Online students.
  4. Collect and evaluate data and provide follow-up interventions including the preparation of special reports, as required.
  5. Establish metrics, in collaboration with others, to track student progress.
  6. Act as a liaison between Department of Online Learning and both enrollment services and student support areas.
  7. Assist in the development of communication plans for potential and new CCBC Online students.
  8. Monitor online program applications to ensure students are being triaged and directed to appropriate services.
  9. Applying best practices for case and data management in platforms.
  10. Survey new and potential students to improve business practices.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  1. Assume responsibility for promoting a positive and successful experience by engaging students from interest through first semester.
  2. Manage and perform duties associated with day-to-day customer services driven onboarding process of CCBC Online students.
  3. Work with various areas of the college to evaluate and maintain high touch onboarding process for online students.
  4. Track CCBC Online students from application to initial registration.
  5. Maintain information regarding student appointments, alerts, progress surveys, and other necessary information adhering to data integrity standards.
  6. Leverage data analytics to proactively support students who may be displaying at-risk factors.
  7. Collaborates with faculty, academic advisors, case managers, and others to identify and provide intervention support for students identified through the early alert system.
  8. Effectively use data management systems to access information and/or document student meetings and notes.
  9. Provide regular reports to Dean, Online Learning and Dean, Student Services.
  10. Establish and work on goals intended to improve the online student onboarding experience.
  11. Add and maintain accuracy of Curriculum maps to Degree Works for specific CCBC Online programming.
  12. Assist with social media presence for CCBC Online.
  13. Assumes responsibility for executing intentional and evidence-based programs, policies, and procedures to support student success and retention.

Long-Term Disability

Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days of absence. Employee pays 100% of premium.
