Associate Director- Student Centers - (STA012293)



Reports to the Director, Student Centers. Supports the direction and management of the Student Centers; oversees the daily operation for the Event Services area of the Student Centers Team, including AV, Conference and Reservation Services (CARS), and Set-Up team.
  1. Ensures customer service standards are maintained while maximizing the use of space available, conference and audio/ visual equipment, and event staff. Maintains Student Center's policies and serves on the Student Centers Policy Board to ensure continuity of processes and documentation.
  2. Serves as lead for the Student Centers Assessment projects, as well as contributing members of the Student Centers Marketing committee.
  3. Manages the day to day operations of the Student Centers Events Operation, including AV, Conference and Reservation Services, Set Up, and Student Centers Administration Front Office.
  4. Provides supervision to staff and students, including selection, scheduling, creating training and work assignments, and encouraging professional development.
  5. Tracks expenditures and revenues and participates in budget planning and development.
  6. Participates in Strategic Planning and Assessment for the Student Center, reviews and recommends modifications to services and processes based on results.
  7. Interprets, recommends, and implements modifications to SC policies and procedures.
  8. Ensures all reservation agreements and contracts are completed in compliance with University standards and review customer billing statements for accuracy and promptness.
  9. Resolves customer complaints, ensures customer services standards for Student Centers are met and creates training.Serves on committees representing the Student Centers.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 5 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience
