Methodist University School of Medicine at Cape Fear Valley Health seeks an Assistant Dean for Assessment for its new College of Medicine in partnership with Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC.  The College of Medicine is an applicant program with the LCME.

Reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Assistant Dean for Assessment will serve on the Deans’ Council. The Assistant Dean will further the mission, vision, and goals of the College of Medicine, Methodist University, and Cape Fear Valley Health System. 

They will oversee the development and management of a robust database that will monitor all meaningful educational and mission-based outcomes for the College of Medicine and provide data to the deans and directors to ensure that the mission and goals of the College of Medicine are being met. The Assistant Dean will play a significant role in both LCME accreditation and the development and oversight of the College’s strategic plan. 

The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in a health professions field or a master's or Ph.D. in an assessment-related field.  It is preferred that they will have demonstrated experience in assessment activities at a medical school.  Interested applicants should forward a letter of application and a current curriculum vitae to Ms. Ashley Dowless at adowless@capefearvalley.com.
