Description:
Pratt Institute's Department of Network and Core Infrastructure, under the Division of Information Technology, is seeking candidates for the position of Network Administrator I. This exciting position will expose candidates to a range of enterprise technologies in support of the Institute's mission to educate the artists, architects, and designers of the future. This is a hands-on job working within a team to manage connectivity at a vibrant campus where students live and learn in the heart of Brooklyn, NY.

On a typical day you will:
- Provide first through third-tier response to matters associated with the networking group's activities.
- Assist in maintaining centralized documentation of all infrastructure information including hardware/software licensing, and network/environment diagrams.
- Monitor and act as first-responder to all network equipment and process malfunction service requests.
- Coordinate and perform installation and configuration of new equipment as assigned.
- Coordinate with and support other members of the Network and Core Infrastructure team to achieve departmental objectives.
Salary Range: $67K - $75K + Generous Benefits. The selected candidate will work on-site 5 days per week.
Qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma/GED required, Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Networks or equivalent training preferred.
Experience: Two years experience with data networks, network-related systems administration or other related IT experience.
Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, as well as demonstrated sensitivity to cross-cultural perspectives and experiences. Keen problem-solving and critical thinking.
