Description:
Pratt Institute's Film/Video Department on the Brooklyn campus, is creating a pool of applicants for possible part-time visiting instructor appointments for upcoming semesters should a course become available. We seek faculty from diverse backgrounds with an interest in inclusive pedagogy to teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate film program. Film/Video students learn in intimate workshop settings through screenings, readings, technical demonstrations, production exercises, class critiques and visiting professionals. Pay Rate: $1,388 - $1,727 per contact hour


Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate expertise in their field and will be evaluated based on their professional background, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, education and prior teaching experience. Ideal applicants will have experience teaching in-person with the equipment and software relevant to the course for which they are applying. An MFA in film or video related field or equivalent professional experience is required. Experience with Canvas and other online learning tools is a plus.
