Kenyon College is seeking applications for an Advancement Systems Analyst in the Information Technology department of the Library and Information Services division. This is a full time position eligible for benefits, limited to a term of two years (July 2023 through June 2025).

The Advancement Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Institutional Data Systems and will interact regularly with other departments to support the mission of the College, collaborating extensively with other members of the IT team and the Advancement Division. The Advancement Systems Analyst will be a member of a multi-divisional project team tasked to transition from a legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to a new customer relationship management (CRM) system called Slate for Advancement, developed by Technolutions. 

The major functional areas for the Systems Analyst include business process analysis, systems management, integration development and testing, data management, and report writing. Custom system integration is required to enhance the selected software and tie it into the larger campus data ecosystem. Detailed analysis is needed to implement and maximize the value from the new software in an environment that combines an  on-campus and cloud infrastructure. The Systems Analyst must interact extensively across departments to support the project.

IT team members are encouraged and expected to develop and grow their skills to match the needs of the institution, and to help others grow, too. Recognizing that technology is continually changing, the Advancement Systems Analyst participates in regular professional development and in the larger professional security community as well. 

Minimum Requirements: 

We value both education and experience. A successful candidate should be comfortable with technology, be curious, and love to learn. These are the minimum requirements for a successful candidate:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or a combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

These are preferred qualifications for a successful candidate:

  • College level courses or equivalent experience in programming, systems analysis and/or database administration. Knowledge of SQL programming - design, coding and testing, Microsoft SQL Server DBMS and/or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Perl. Experience with Ellucian Advance, Technolutions Slate, IBM Cognos is a plus. Knowledge of report writing and design using Cognos, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or Google Looker is a plus.
