Purpose of Position
Provide exemplary customer service and maintain positive interactions resulting in high customer service satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
1) Primary customer service rep that provides excellent customer service on the phones, office email, online chat functions and in person service.
2) Basic accounting skills and the ability to understand student accounts in our primary processing systems, SAP and ProSam.
3) Assist students in understanding their account balances and in determining methods of payment.
4) Accurately process daily office deposits received in overnight drop box, mail and in person payments.
5) Follow daily cash desk procedures and prepare bank deposits using strong understanding and practice of basic math and accounting skills.
6) Give Orientation presentation discussing tuition, payment options and financial aid at New Student Orientation to incoming parents and students.
7) Effectively communicate SAS policies to students, faculty and staff.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer population.
- Perform mathematical functions, bookkeeping, accounting and record keeping with accuracy and close attention to detail.
- Ability to learn computer software and reporting tools.
- Demonstrate excellent organization and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in customer service required.
- One year of higher education administrative service(s) experience preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.
