Job Summary
The College of Lake County is looking for an Adjunct Faculty, Supply Chain Management to join the team. The Adjunct Faculty will teach classes in Supply Chain Management (Introduction to supply chain, Inventory, Purchasing, Transportation, Warehousing/Logistics, and/or Operations Management). The faculty member will be responsible for updating and developing instructional materials including course plans, syllabi, objectives, and evaluation tools. The faculty member will also assess student learning and assign grades, attend required Adjunct meetings in the Fall (typically Saturday morning before the semester begins) and Spring (typically Thursday evening before classes start) semesters, participate in college governance and other aspects of academic life, and maintain current knowledge of subject matter.

Required Qualification(s)
- Master’s degree in Business and five (5) years’ experience in a supply chain related field.
- Competency in technologies commonly used in college level instruction.
- Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Prior college level teaching experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Summary of Essential Functions
- Teach classes in Supply Chain Management (Introduction to supply chain, Inventory, Purchasing, Transportation, Warehousing/Logistics, and/or Operations Management).
- Responsible for updating and developing instructional materials including course plans, syllabi, objectives, and evaluation tools.
- Assess student learning and assign grades and provide feedback in a timely manner on student progress.
- Attend required Adjunct meetings in the Fall (typically Saturday morning before the semester begins) and Spring (typically Thursday evening before classes start) semesters,
- Adjunct Faculty members are expected to maintain current in compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority.
- Provide instructional support to the students. Refer students, when appropriate, to sources of specialized services within the College. Use the appropriate College policies and procedures to resolve and document student complaints, concerns and problems.
- Be available for student consultation through phone or email.
- Collaborate with the division chair in matters regarding the assigned course (e.g., textbook selection, software packages, etc.) and the program in general.
- Provide the Division and the students a syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, attendance policies in line with those of the college, texts and readings, timelines and evaluation criteria, and any other information required by College, Division, or departmental policy.
- Deliver course content in the planned modality of online, Zoom, or a combination and using a variety of teaching styles.Some courses are also available face-to-face to students so there is the possibility you will have to teach in person.You will also need to complete and maintain teaching training required by the College for teaching the planned modality (online, face-to-face, Zoom). Classes are offered at Grayslake, Waukegan, Vernon Hills, or online.
- Submit all grades (midterm/final) electronically prior to the required deadlines. Provide the Registrar appropriate grade records.
- Maintain a high level of professional ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean.
