Post Doctoral Fellow - Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences
Location: A203 Poole Ag Center, Clemson, SC
Description
Dr. Alexis "Stocko" Stamatikos, tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences at Clemson University, is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellow to join his laboratory.
A primary objective of the prospective postdoctoral fellow's scholarly work in the Stocko Lab will be to assess the impact of lipid metabolism on infection. Techniques, methods, and procedures employed in the Stocko Lab include tissue culture, mouse husbandry and genotyping, end-point RT-PCR and qRT-PCR, mouse cell isolation and culture, immunoblotting, immunostaining, and mouse tissue harvest, sectioning, and staining.
Qualified candidates with experience in these skills are highly encouraged to contact Dr. Stamatikos to discuss postdoctoral fellowship positions currently available in his lab.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctorate in Biological/Life Sciences or a related STEM field.
