Assistant Residence Hall Coordinator (Mosaic Village)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Housing and Residence Life, this individual assists a Residence Hall Coordinator in administering and managing Mosaic Village, a 300-bed residence hall complete with amenity areas and a 400-car parking deck. Likewise, this individual will support a team of Resident and Community Assistants as these student para-professionals plan and implement residence hall activities and events.

This role is a live-in position with evening duty hours of 11:00 p.m. through 7:00 am. Some weekend and on-call hours are required for this position.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with one to two years of experience working in Housing and Residence Life, Academic Support, Student Life or another unit area in Student Affairs. Possess strong analytical and communication skills, sound professional judgment, initiative and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals including students, faculty and staff. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms. Some knowledge of event planning, organizational management and student development theory is preferred. Must be creative, organized and able to multitask, with strong attention to detail and the management of his/her/the university’s time.
