Job Description

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Providence College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Computer Science, commencing August 1, 2023. The appointment is renewable for one year with the successful candidate being eligible to take up a tenure track appointment in 2025 or earlier.

Essential Duties

The position requires a commitment to undergraduate teaching (nine credit hours per semester).

Education and Experience Required

This position is open to all specialties and the department is especially interested in candidates with strong teaching records and/or an interest in conducting research with and working closely with undergraduates. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in computer science from an accredited institution (or earn one by August 1, 2023).
