The University of Puget Sound is hiring a full-time Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Athletics Department!

The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of strength and conditioning for Puget Sound's NCAA Division III varsity sports program.

This position is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of effective strength and conditioning programs for each sport program centered on student-athlete wellness and performance as part of the Puget Sound Performance Success program.

Please note:
-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.
-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.
-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.

To be considered for this role, a candidate must:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition or other related field.
• Be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS, or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association- Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (CSCCA-SCCC).
• Have at least 2 years of experience working with intercollegiate level athletes or demonstrated equivalency through a combination of education and experience.
• Maintain knowledge of NCAA regulations.
• Respectfully work, communicate, and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 annually. Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
• This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
