    PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

    Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Offensive Line Coach is responsible for all administrative and organizational aspects of the offense. They will directly supervise all offensive assistant coaches, student-athletes, video personnel, and managers. The Assistant Coach must operate within the guidelines of an NCAA Division II football program and within the mission of the University and its philosophy of intercollegiate athletics. The coach is also responsible for the development and administration of all offensive game plans and the materials necessary to execute them. The coach is also responsible for the recruitment of student-athletes, adhering to NCAA, Conference, and University regulations regarding recruiting, admission standards, and eligibility, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and assisting in the establishment of effective media relations. The coach will play a role, as assigned by the head coach, in fundraising activities and serve as a representative of the University to the outside community when appropriate.



    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • As Offensive Line Coach, direct involvement with all administrative and organizational aspects of the offense under the supervision of the Assistant Football Coach Offensive Coordinator.
  • Assist the Offensive Coordinator with coordinating all coaching assignments for the offensive staff including film breakdown, on-field, and all administrative responsibilities.
  • Works with the Offensive Coordinator with supervision of all offensive student-athletes in a coordinated and planned program of practices and competition, with a concern for the players' health and welfare, physical and psychological preparation.
  • Participate in public and alumni relations and promotions activities as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all University, NCAA, and Conference Rules and Regulations, Policies, and Procedures paying particular attention to recruiting, eligibility, admissions, and financial aid.
  • Assist with recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to meet the University's admission standards and enrollment goals.
  • Assist in game statistical and film analysis
OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and 3-5 years of previous college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred (Exercise Science, Strength, and Conditioning, or other related degree preferred);
  • Previous college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Must have familiarity with computer systems, good oral and written communication skills, and strong organizational, management, and supervisory skills.




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, admissions and financial aid officers, fellow employees, program boosters, and the public
  • Have a solid computer skill
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
  • Ability to work in noise, heat, cold, odors, dirt, outdoor temperatures, snow, and difficult situations.
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities.
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours during the workday.
  • Ability to work some weekends, occasional holidays, and inclement weather.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting; reaching above the head; reaching the waist; reaching below the knees; and bending at the knees.
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull equipment (for example, football sleds, dummies, and pads) a minimum of 10 yards without assistance.
  • Ability to climb a ladder or scaffolding to enter/exit a press box, get to a filming location, or similar situations.
