The Director of Annual Giving provides strategic leadership and management of a comprehensive, integrated annual giving program for UNC Asheville. Responsibilities include achieving the annual giving goals and objectives by planning, managing, and executing the University's annual giving fundraising initiatives. The Director achieves this by utilizing multi-channel communication methods of social media, email, mail, telephone, and face to face to seek financial gifts from the University's prospective donors, including alumni, friends, parents, faculty/staff, and students who make gifts below $25,000.

The Director is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic annual plan that will support the needs of the university and the goals of university advancement as it relates to annual giving. The Director will coordinate with Donor Relations to provide stewardship to annual fund/giving donors. The Director will collaborate with partners in university advancement and on-campus partners such as academic departments, as appropriate, to develop and implement communication plans to engage and solicit their specific audiences. The Director will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of donors for leadership annual gifts.

The Director will be responsible for supervising the responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Annual Giving.
