The Assistant Director of Housing Services is responsible for assisting with the overall student housing assignments process, and managing the on campus housing program for 3,600 undergraduate students and an off-campus population of approximately 300. The Assistant Director will also have access control responsibilities in Access and Card Services.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Housing Services, the Assistant Director serves on a team within the Division of Student Affairs including Residential Education, Fraternity & Sorority Affairs and the First-year Experience.

Job Duties:
On-Campus Housing Responsibilities
Execute housing assignments, room changes and other operations regarding student room assignments.
Develop reports and communicate the state of housing occupancy with respect to current assignments, capacity and vacancies.
Work with the Associate Director and Director in analyzing complex data to compile into reports, occupancy and budget forecasts, studies and other projects.
Assist the Associate Director in the planning and delivery of the room selection process, including communications with students and families regarding the process.
Assist with all aspects of first-year housing assignments.
Coordinate summer and conference housing with the Associate Director of Housing Services. Manage assignments, check in processes and communications.
Assist with opening and closing of campus housing at the beginning and end of semesters along with break periods (Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break and Spring Break).
Respond to immediate student service needs via incoming phone calls, emails and walk-ins.
Serve as a point of contact for students and their housing needs. Respond to family questions regarding housing assignments and housing processes.
Coordinate and maintain the housing services website.
Collaborate with other University offices to assist with organizing housing assignments for different groups (i.e fraternities, sororities, affinity housing, residential college alumni).
Manage all requests and communication for students to arrive on campus prior to the start of campus housing opening and individuals requesting to stay past the halls closing at the end of a semester.
Utilize the housing software (StarRez) to communicate with students regarding their housing and communicate housing information to various campus stakeholders.
Supports central office staff with key management and key control, responses to inquiries of walk-ins, phone, email and social media.

Off-Campus Housing
Plan and execute the off-campus housing program and process.
Develop marketing and informational materials related to the off campus housing program including landlord tenant regulation information for students.
Establish and maintain contacts with local landlords.
Maintain lease information and database of off campus students.
Student Transportation
Supports the airport shuttle process at the beginning and end of Fall, Thanksgiving and Spring break and at the start and end of semesters.
Participate in a rotation with the office staff for assisting with departing shuttles. This includes being present at departure, assisting with boarding and contacting those late for the shuttle.

This position requires evening and weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, or a related field
One year of professional (post graduate) related experience.
Strong commitment to student growth and development.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity & inclusion with the ability to work collaboratively across cultures and styles at all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, staff and administrators as well as external agencies/groups and the public.
Strong administrative skills and organizational skills including the ability to identify administrative and student service issues and seek the appropriate resources to resolve the issues.
Able to work independently on most elements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with StarRez software or other housing solution products

Work Type:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.

Salary Range:
This is a staff exempt position with a hiring range of $47,760-59,700. The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
