The University of Nebraska’s Marriage and Family Therapy master’s program provides general training in marriage and family therapy, as well as training in collaborative healthcare, rural mental health, tele-mental health, and trauma-informed modalities. The successful candidate will bring expertise that will contribute to the national and international reputation and exposure of the program, department, and the university.

The clinic coordinator duties will include conducting weekly clinical supervision for Marriage and Family Therapy students, maintaining relationships with practicum sites, managing the day-to-day operations of the Couple and Family Clinic, helping with grant writing and program evaluation, and other duties as designated by the department. The successful candidate will have an innate interest in teaching and clinical training and will motivate students to learn and grow. The successful candidate for this position will be committed to advancing the mission of the MFT program, department, and university. Recent Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply.

Recognizing that diversity enhances creativity, innovation, impact, and a sense of belonging, the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies is committed to creating learning, research, Extension programming, and work environments that are inclusive of all forms of diversity. Consistent with the University’s N2025 Strategic Plan, every person and every interaction are treated as important to our collective well-being and our ability to deliver on our mission. Our department supports the university’s Commitment to Action, including:

  • Advancing diversity and inclusion across the institution. Positioning excellence and learning through diversity. Promoting community, a sense of belonging, and mattering. Building and sustaining anti-racist infrastructure and accountability. Acknowledging the impact of Covid-19 on communities who are under-resourced or racially minoritized.

We seek candidates who are particularly excited about contributing to these efforts. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates who can demonstrate their experience with shaping a workplace culture based on respect for differences and/or experiences with promoting equity and positive cross-cultural relationships. The College of Education and Human Sciences respects people, ideas, voices, and perspectives. Diversity strengthens our ability to problem-solve and build more equitable and inclusive solutions for complex challenges.
