Job Summary/Basic Function

The IT Administrator II position is responsible for implementing and administering the IT infrastructure of a complex multi-site educational campus. This position works closely with all IT staff to provide quality user support and infrastructure services. This position is integral in the strategic planning of the infrastructure and works closely with the Director of IT on various IT projects. The systems managed by this position are critical to the successful operations of the college.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
• 4 years of IT administration experience
• 2 years of experience with network protocols such as routing, firewall, NAT, load balancing, and proxy
• 2 years of experience with administration of Microsoft and Linux servers
• Experience with ASP .Net, Batch, Perl, Shell, SQL, and/or VB programming
• Experience providing support directly to end users both physically present and remote
• Experience with centralized backup technology, retention policies, replication, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
• Experience with system integration asks such as automation programming, authentication plugins, secure protocols, etc.
• Experience with Blackboard LMS
• Experience with ERP system such as Jenzabar EX
• Experience with Mac OS
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of federal regulations such as PCI DSS, FERPA, etc.
