The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science, Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a teaching assistant/associate professor (non-tenure track) position. The starting date is Fall 2023. Stevens offers an intellectually vibrant, diverse, highly interdisciplinary, collaborative and innovative community and is a great place to work. The primary responsibility will be the instruction of computer engineering courses, including Data Structure and Algorithms, Digital and Computer Systems Architecture, Engineering Programming (C++), Engineering Programming (Java), and Introduction to Multimedia Networking. Additional responsibilities include advising students and department services.

Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence in higher education and mentoring of students with diverse backgrounds.

The ECE department at Stevens currently has 27 full-time faculty, including 1 NAE member, 7 IEEE Fellows, 3 NAI Fellows, and 8 NSF CAREER recipients.  ECE faculty are dynamic, collaborative colleagues dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of electrical and computer engineers and technical leaders through innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research and education programs.
