Albizu University is seeking qualified applicants for a 12-month, full-time remote faculty member for the master’s degree program in school counseling. The selected candidate must qualify as CACREP core faculty member. ABD candidates are eligible for consideration. The selected candidate is expected to begin in Fall of 2023 or earlier if available.

Responsibilities

This position emphasizes the development of effective counseling practitioners. Responsibilities will include remote (synchronous and asynchronous) graduate level course design and delivery; effective use of learning management systems (LMS) and videoconferencing tools such as Zoom to facilitate learning; field experience placement and clinical supervision of counselors-in-training; mentoring graduate learners in academics and research projects; and, measurement and application of program outcomes measures aligned to CACREP standards.

Required qualifications include:

  • Meet the CACREP criteria for a core faculty member;
  • Three (3) years of experience teaching in a higher education setting;
  • Experience assessing and meeting educational or service needs of diverse individuals; and,
  • State licensure as a counselor or eligibility to obtain a state counseling license.

 Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Three (3) years of experience as a school counselor;
  • Professional experience providing counseling to children and youths;
  • Remote teaching experience using LMS and videoconferencing;
  • Experience with academic program assessment;
  • Administrative or leadership experience; and,
  • Experience with academic program development.

The Albizu University annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus areas controlled by Albizu University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to, and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning drug and alcohol use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
