The English Department at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore
is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor for pre-1800 literature.
At present this is a one-year position. Area of interest is open
(medieval, pre-modern, the long eighteenth century). Candidate
should be able to teach both upper-division courses in their field
of specialization for undergraduate majors and required
introductory core curriculum courses for all undergraduates. The
search committee is especially interested in faculty with an
interest and/or evidence of deploying high impact teaching
practices. Faculty responsibilities include teaching 4
undergraduate courses each semester (about 100 students total) and
participating in English department activities. The salary is
$50,000/year and includes health insurance benefits.
