Women's Soccer Assistant Coach
Description
The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of training, managing, and administering the women's soccer program through its Fall season. This is considered a part-time temporary position.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
• Assist with on-field team training • Serve as integral part of the program's player recruitment process • Provide administrative support for team events and travel • Oversee team video protocol, including the filming, coding, and analysis of each match • Conduct individual and small-group extra help sessions as needed • Support student-athletes in their physical, mental, technical, and tactical development • Other responsibilities as assigned by Head Coach or Director of Athletics
General Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively as part of the team staff to facilitate a successful season pursuant to the team's vision, mission, and goals.
Education:
Bachelors Degree preferred Regional level coaching certification or higher, from a national coaching entity (USSF, NSCAA, UEFA, etc.) or intention to pursue such certification within the year
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Passion for the Game • Passion for teaching players • Computer literacy, tech-savvy a plus • Understanding of principles of play, along with an appreciation for the impact of technique on the game • Desire to work and learn in a fast-paced, fun, challenging, soccer- and player-centered environment • Strong work ethic • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
Collegiate or professional playing experience
Physical Demands:
The Assistant Coach should be able to perform duties of on-field training and office work. In addition, they should be capable of participating in training sessions as necessary.
Other:
Offer is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
