Bard College invites applications for a one-year renewable full-time position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in Korean Literature, Language, and Culture to begin in Fall 2023.
The College is looking to build capacity in Korean Studies and the successful candidate will be able to teach a range of language and content classes. Period and area of research specialization is open. Candidates should have completed the Ph.D. by time of appointment and have primary training in the fields of Korean literary, media, or cultural studies. Ability to teach Korean language at all levels and courses of one’s specialty is expected. The position requires a lively interest in undergraduate teaching at a small liberal arts college and a vigorous and active commitment to scholarship. This position is supported by a generous grant from the Korea Foundation. The deadline for application is April 28, 2023.
